All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy has announced the signing of three all-inclusive luxury resorts in Mexico with international developer AB Living Group. The three properties are: Almare, a Luxury Collection All-Inclusive Resort in Isla Mujeres, opening in 2024; JW Marriott All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres, opening in 2026; and W All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres, opening in 2026.

CANCUN BREAKS RECORDS WITH 200 NEW HOTELS IN THE LAST 3 YEARS!

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo has added to its hotel infrastructure no less than 200 new hotels in the last three years — a world record when comparing with other destinations of similar size and population.

At the start of 2021, Quintana Roo had 114,947 hotel rooms and, by the end of that same year, that number had increased to 118,772. In the end of year update for 2022, 130,000 hotel rooms were reported, increasing from 126,000 in October 2022.

NEW NATURAL RESERVE AND PARK PROJECTED FOR THE RIVIERA MAYA

The Mexican president has announced that the entrepreneur and hotelier Julio Berdegué, in his will, has bequeathed 500 acres of land in Riviera Maya for the creation of a new natural reserve and park.

In his daily morning conference, the president said that Berdegué had asked his children for 500 acres of his property in Riviera Maya, which he acquired from the Hotel Cid when the area began to be developed, to be donated for conservation and use as a natural park.
