British Airways has confirmed it will resume flights to Cancun as of October 22. The news of their return comes the same week Mexico, along with 46 other countries, was removed from the country’s red covid list.

As of the third week of October, the airline will begin offering a daily flight into the Cancun International Airport. The British airline also reported that as of November 6, they will increase their flights to Mexico City to five times per week.

British Airways Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sean Doyle said “Britain will benefit from this significant reduction in red list countries, and now is the time to turn our attention to eradicating testing for fully vaccinated travelers to ensure that we do not lose our place on the global stage.”
