The newest addition to the luxury shopping and dining destination of The Shoppes at Palmilla comes from Clase Azul, one of the world’s leading tequila brands. La Terraza’s kitchen is led by Clase Azul’s Creative Chef, Iván Arias, who finds inspiration for his Mexican dishes from ingredients sourced from local farmers and fishermen.

Clase Azul seeks to bring the magic of Mexican culture to each of its destinations — sometimes, this mission results in new products and beverages, but at other times, it takes the form of new venues and experiences, as is the case with La Terraza and Clase Azul’s boutique shop in Terminal 2 of San José del Cabo’s international airport.

Clase Azul’s experienced service staff at La Terraza will guide guests through a tasting of their iconic portfolio of tequilas and mezcales. For groups that desire something more unique, La Terraza offers two special experiences, “Omakase” and “A Taste of Culture.”

Omakase, a Japanese word meaning “to put oneself in the chef’s hands,” is a 14-course menu in which the Chef reimagines various multicultural dishes through the lens of Mexico’s unique flavors, honoring the diverse cultural influences that converge to create Baja’s singular identity.

A Taste of Culture is an immersive five-course dinner that pairs delicious traditional dishes from various Mexican regions with some of Casa Azul’s iconic drinks. The menu is meticulously designed for each guest and is not revealed in its entirety beforehand to maintain an element of surprise. After the two-hour-long experience, a table can be prepared at La Terraza in case any guests wish to sample some of their cocktails or any dishes from their menu.
