After many years of interrupted progress, Kanai, the most anticipated luxury complex in the Riviera Maya, will rise to the most luxurious Marriott hotel in the entire Mexican Caribbean.

The St. Regis Kanai Resort will be the first hotel in this complex, which will also add an EDITION, and promises to renew the luxury proposal in the Riviera Maya. It will be the third St. Regis in Mexico (after Mexico City and Punta Mita) and its modern design will make a difference in a region where luxury proposals abound, but which hasn’t had great popularity in the segment recently.

The property, which will open its doors in 2020, will have 124 rooms and suites, 32 villas, four restaurants, an exclusive Remede Spa, swimming pools facing the sea and two 18-hole golf courses designed by José María Olazábal and Nick Faldo. The exclusive villas will include private pools and will have a typical Mexican design with full access to the facilities of the St. Regis Kanai. The architecture of the hotel presents elements of white concrete and semi-transparent reflecting glass, which are its main components, complemented by local materials and elements of organic design that provide detail and presence. The semicircles of the residential areas contain green spaces at their intersections that function as vestibules leading to the stairs, as well as terraces suitable for observation. The St. Regis is part of the Kanai Resort complex, which will eventually have four hotels and a beach club, which will be in the Riviera Maya area, 6 miles from Playa del Carmen and 24 miles from the Cancun airport.
