A new incarnation of the train known as El Chepe is now offering a premium travel experience to tourists visiting northern Mexico and in particular Chihuahua’s Copper Canyon.

The Chepe Express started operations last month on the 653-kilometer railroad that links the capital of Chihuahua with the Pacific Coast city of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, via the Tarahumara Sierra.

Southwest Airlines is adding more flights to Mexico’s main tourism hubs, including Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, according to travel news website Caribbean Journal.

The carrier is set to launch new international service between Chicago Midway and Cabo San Lucas-Los Cabos in Baja California Sur, Mexico.

The new service will operate on weekends, according to the company. The flights will launch Nov. 4, 2018.
