UNITED: "BOOM" OF FLIGHTS TO THE CARIBBEAN EXCEEDING PRE-COVID LEVELS

As of May, United Airlines resumes more than 100% of its flights throughout Latin America, which means that it will maintain more flights than it had in 2019 during the same period to Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.

In addition to offering service to 20 cities in Mexico from Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York / Newark, San Francisco and Washington DC, the airline will be celebrating during this 2021, 40 years of service to Cancun, Cozumel and Guadalajara.

Starting in May, United will maintain two daily flights from Chicago to Cancun, three daily flights from Denver to Cancun and four flights a week to Cozumel. Also, five flights a day to Cancun and a daily flight to Cozumel will be available for clients from Houston.

The airline also announced that from Los Angeles starting in Maythe it will have 13 flights a week to Cancun, and from Newark Airport in New York it will operate three daily flights to Cancun.

It will also have flights from San Francisco to Cancun twice a day; and it will maintain a daily flight from Washington, and a weekly one from Cleveland to Cancun.

“We are proud of United's deep roots and history throughout Latin America,” said Patrick Quayle, United Vice President of International Network and Alliances, noting that in May they will be greatly expanding their program in Latin America, offering more options than the they offered in 2019. "This will include numerous opportunities for travelers to meet up with friends and family and for those looking for a warm-weather beach destination," he said.
