Riviera Nayarit will host the first edition of the Pacific Golf Tour 2020. This amateur tournament will be held on November 28th, 2020 at Flamingos Golf and will represent the classifying round for next year’s competition.

“The Pacific Golf Tour merges tourism and sports competition. With this event, both residents and visitors will enjoy great golf, as well as fine weather, gastronomy, excellent beaches, and the tourist attractions offered by the Riviera Nayarit,” said Fernando Iturribarría, director of the Pacific Golf Tour 2020.

Flamingos Golf course is a par 72 with a distance of 6,853 yards and slightly narrow fairways laid out along gentle hills. Designed by Percy Clifford, this course takes full advantage of its natural attributes, with a location among lagoons and mangroves. It was the Riviera Nayarit’s first golf course and has earned its place as the cornerstone of the Nuevo Vallarta tourist development.

The tournament is a stroke play in three categories with an 80% handicap. The main attraction for participants is not only the trophy, but also a place in the Pacific Golf Tour held in February of next year in Manzanillo, Colima.
