Just before the Christmas holiday, Destination Mexico visited children at the School of Champions together with staff of the Marriott Casamagna Resort and Spa, and other participating companies, to deliver donated backpacks and school supplies to kids in need as part of the Marriott International's Serve 360 platform, a charitable organization which seeks to do good in every direction, worldwide.

The School of Champions carries out programs focused on feeding and educating children with limited resources in the region of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Their objective is to break the cycle of poverty through education. They provide free education to the poorest kids in the area and provide food to fight malnutrition and hunger, which can seriously impede their ability to learn and develop to their full potential. The goal of the staff is to encourage the little ones to learn and improve each day, to keep them in school and to help them learn so that they will have the opportunity to lift themselves out of poverty, find a good job and create a better life.
